Founded in 2018 by Sheva Lee Absher, West Native is a jewelry line born from duality. Rooted in Iranian culture and shaped by California’s easy spirit, it embodies contrast: east and west, tradition and evolution, refinement and edge.

In 2025, longtime friend and creative collaborator Gretchen McManus joined as partner, overseeing the inner workings of the brand while Sheva guides its design and storytelling. Their combined strengths keep West Native balanced-blending creative vision with thoughtful execution.

Gretchen and Sheva first met at a major jewelry brand, where together they led product design + development. Since then, they’ve collaborated on projects for other brands, and joining forces at West Native felt like a natural next step
